Tatawaw, Kisakoh iskwew nitsikason! Welcome, my cree name is Sky Woman but you can call me Kaysha! I am learning my language so if you're fluent in  Maskwacis Plains Cree please go easy ;)

The idea of TLHC started in early 2021 while attending school as an adult at Maskwacis Cultural College. The usual "finish high school, finish college, travel the world, then get married and have children" was not my path. I met my husband as a teenager in 2009 working at the movie theatre in Wetaskiwin and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Not only are we high-school sweethearts but we were married in high school at the ages of 16 & 17 - wild, right?

My education journey was on pause for 9 years while raising babies, then during covid I decided to take a leap and return to school in Fall 2020. Since then I've completed the requisite course of study in: 

-Certificate of Adult Education Program - Honors 

-Bloom School Certificate of Graduation - Floral Design Series Vol 1

-Certificate in Leadership & Administration - Honors with Distinction 

-Early Childhood Educator - Level 1
